Blood, Water, Love
By: Mike Corvin
Life began to move again as he worked
Days went by slowly, but weeks moved quickly
Work progressed and slowly he began to move on.
Being so far he gained his distance, forgiving slightly
Never could he forget, always he'd regret.
Love and Care is easy to find.
True undying, unyielding, Love is a challenge.
He no longer expected it from anywhwere, anyone
His friends have his love, his support
Giving his all for them would be easy

As time wore on he calmed
Accepting that he could never see her again.
He hated that he was gone; however,
Rejoiced that he could never be the one to hurt her
Knowing that she was safe from him, he cried
He cried for their memories together,
For their special days, Happy moments, and Silent smiles.
As Time flowed past in his mind's eye he watched
He closed his eyes but the image of her walking away..
That image remained, reflected in his falling tears.
He smiled softly under his tears as he opened his eyes.
Only as she left could he truly see his own errors.
The things he had done wrong haunted him rep
-A Journey Began-
By: Mike Corvin
As the suns final rays disappeared over the mountainous terrain,
He saw the barren wasteland before him,
Hope draining as he saw the long journey ahead of him.
What he was searching for may only have been a rumor of a mirage,
But he held onto the faint glimmer of hope as the Moon appeared.
The Moon reflected back to him his hopes of the day and he paused,
Reflecting on his journey he looked forward and carried on.
Patience was not in his nature, but he would try.
He would walk this barren land until he found the rumor's source
This lost land of green plains and monstrous trees for shade.
He would
Drowning
By: Mike Corvin
As the lights blink out and the sky falls,
The land Darkens and crumbles beneath you
While the River turns to blood and slowly dries out.
All of this from three words that can stop a world.
As I say these three words I know I could never have stopped them
Yet I know they will always be true.
I’m no longer afraid as the sound of these words escapes my lips.
I feel your soft touch on my back, on my face,
And I slowly smile as your lips brush my cheek.
Turning my head I brush your nose with mine, smiling softly.
My eyes light up and soon I am holding you in my arms again.
While I hold you it is obvious what my
A Feeling of Love?
By: Mike Corvin
How does one explain the feeling of Love?
Is the touch of a Lover that of a friend?
Is the love of a friend the Passion of a Lover?
Can love truly last if spread so simply and given so harshly?
Is loving your friend truly right? Yet is it truly wrong?
The pain, the passion, the happiness, is all there. Is it wrong?
Wrong to love more than one?
What do you do? How do you proceed?
Do you hope as you go down the river?
Do you turn to the distance and ask?
Do you look to the sky and pray?
Can you tell them? Should you?
The words hang in your Mouth as you slowly let them out on by one.

Is Anything Sweeter?

As he sat sleepless and alone in the morning, he pondered,
Thinking of passion and love, of lust and desire.
He thought of her lips, of her touch, and of her eyes.
He let his thoughts of her wander as Night turned to day.
Thinking of all the times that he would be away,
His mind wandered, undressing her slowly even as he held his hands at bay.
He watched as she walked, he listened as she talked
He felt her touch as they lay in each other’s arms
In mind only could she be his, in mind only could he do anything.
They both had limits, limits they fought, passed, limits they barely touched.

Fickle Hope
By: Mike Corvin
He thought he had the time
Thought that distance would not stop him
Never knowing what his true future held
But still he hoped it would end up alright
Hope had led him astray before,
But he knew that he needed it to continue on
Hope had left him in dismal places
And yet hope had pulled him out again.
He dreamed with hope for a brighter tomorrow,
Knowing he had so very little time left.
He spent his time like there was no tomorrow.
For even with hope it is not guaranteed.
He knew what he wanted, that bad vision.
He knew his heart’s desires, his soul’s, and his body’s.
Trying to keep them at bay

The Skies of Tomorrow

As he reached the hill he saw it was really a cliff
He couldn’t see anyone as he looked up from the base, only the sky
As he clambered up the sheer rock face, he thought,
He thought of his friends that had always been around
He thought of the sky, of his future, of his life,
Thinking of how they connected him and his friends.
Pausing his climb he watched the sky,
He watched the birds fly, the clouds roll by, and the sun set in the sky.
In the semi-darkness he reached a steeper incline.
He called out for help in his confusion
He felt four pairs of hands lifting him up out of the darkness.
As he r

Upon his awakening he found a new world
A world of sorrow and disposition
In this new world he knew not what would happen
He could not fathom what was to befall him next.
He tried to think and plan, but the river was running dry.
He watched as the raging flood once more became a dry trickle
Not of hope now, but of sorrow, of despair, and of contrition.
Whether his eyes were open or shut his tears welled up
Threatening to refill the river if only to dry him out.
He would happily have drowned in the wallow if not for them.
Stopping he turned and saw his loved ones on a distant hill top.

The River of Time
By: Mike Corvin
In the dry riverbed he saw a small trickle,
He saw the Land’s hope, Mother Nature’s single tear,
Being shed slowly down the barren countryside.
As he sat alone with only his thoughts in mind,
He thought of them, his friends, his family, his loved ones
And he thought of what he would do for them.
As his thoughts turned to rage at those who would hurt them,
He watched the hopeful somber trickle become a raging red river of blood.
He felt the blood nourish the fire in his heart,
Watched as it drowned the wicked and soaked the land.
Then he watched as it slipped away, swallowed by the dirt,

So Today I spent mainly watching anime and I watched (of Courseeee) Nightmare before Christmas. I was talking to a friend and old feelings (well only a few months old) started dredging up. I'll probably have a frew more poems up in the next few days if I don't go jump into traffic or something. blehhhhh There's no trafffic around here so poems it is. Hope whoever reads them takes the time to truly understand these feelings. I only ever write when I am feeling some emotion very strongly, whether it is sadness, happiness, hope, despair, or confusion. It is always present there somewhere. Especially on a day when I write multiples at one time. I
